Before you quit your job

Before quitting a job, the things people weigh are runway, whether the next role is signed or only expected, the notice period, and who else depends on the income. The things they most often miss are that gratuity needs five years of service, that an annual bonus and unvested ESOPs have dates attached so leaving in month eleven can cost more than a month of salary, that employer health cover ends with the job and a pre-existing condition may not be covered by a new individual policy, and that interviewing is considerably easier while still employed.
